Unlike other salons, we are going to teach you how to Tan the Smart Way! We will not burn you and say, “See ya next week,” because you can’t even sit down, much less lay in a tanning bed. We believe that tanning is natural—it is your body’s protection against burning.

Every time you burn your skin, you are one step closer to all of the dangers of the sun that have been reported.

Please trust our consultants’ analysis—they are highly trained and certified to determine your skin type and set up a tanning schedule that they feel is best for you. If you have been tanning elsewhere, please let the consultant know. She may still want you to have your minutes slightly reduced the first couple of times that you tan with us. We keep our lamps very intense and clean. You will see results! Better safe than sorry.

For those of you who are just starting to build your base tan, tanning is generally done on an every-other-day basis (it takes 48 hours to see complete results of a session). If you come in the very next day, your experience may not be a pleasant one. You risk exposing a possible pinking of the skin that you are not yet aware of, which can result in sunburn. Slow is better.

Allow yourself 2 weeks to establish a beautiful, healthy-looking tan. Your skin will thank you later in life.

Generally, your FIRST SESSION IS DISCOUNTED $5.00 and is done in either of the two Mega beds with air conditioning and CD players (upon availability only). Due to high volume, you may be asked to pay for your first session and return for your free session.

We are proud to announce our full service salon, Jamaican Me Beautiful.  Body Treatments by Donna, a wonderful esthetician with many years of experience in facials, massage therapy, nail and hair care, body waxing and electrolysis, glamour makeovers, skin care treatments, permanent eye lashes and make-up.  We are excited to offer her services.   And welcome to Bernadette and Bill Brinn, former owners of Shear Excellence in Catonsville.  They are also the founders of the famous Hat Hair - designed for people who experience the unfortunate, temporary or permanent loss of hair due to alopecia or chemotherapy.  It has been accepted by Johns Hopkins and voted the most comfortable and natural form of substitute hair.  Appointments for all our salon services can be made at 410-242-5828.
